she will be sorely, sadly missed by all who knew her.

the avatar cards were her invention.

i was asked by her a long time ago to send her my card, and like other requests for things by my fellow tribers (both troll and marked targets) it always slipped my mind. I admit a certain level of guilty feeling for not following through.

i too was planning on making cards.

re-put it on my to-do list when sharkpup quit tribe and to welcome her back

      but never did.

till last night at her memorial in SF.

thank you to everyone who contributed to the crafty stuff provided for that.

i left the one i made there but took a couple of the printed pictures to make one that i can make my own personal memorial card.

      also,

i have been meaning to get back into doing creative stuff

and i want to let this be the catalyst to do so

something positive will come of the loss that way.

      miss you shark pup.

      RIP

      I wasn't gonna answer this.

      but.

It seems I'm kind of haunted by the whole thing. I didn't know her well, and yet I feel like it was all very personal.

it's personal and if she touched your life then it doesn't matter how close you were, it's no competition and you have a right to your feelings too. hopefully, her whimsical, high-energy during life and needless death will have a positive impact on us all, despite her not having been the first person in our lives to have abandoned us and the world in this way. she really was something else.

and she left s something toataly new.

while craftmaking for friends is nothing new, this approach.... modern computer-designed print materials for reletive strangers; an international coalition of loosly affiliated artists... its a part of the new culture; the milenial culture.

celebrate her by making cards and mailing them.

I find it to be a satisfiing way to reconcile the twinge of guilt I feel for not knowing her better.

            I don't know.

my sister and father went in for surgery about a week before and after Meemee offed herself and it's been chaos at work, along with a big double helping of personal disrespect from both customers and coworkers, including the suggestion from two coworkers that I find different friends since one of them killed themselves.

            yeah.

so I haven't been a very happy camper.

at least things are good between me and my SO in our home life even if we don't get to see each other as much as I'd like - otherwise I'd be walking off the job after assaulting a few people. I miss Meemee. I figured we would meet some time in the next few years... I assumed we'd be friends for a long time and that she would be out there in the world, being herself.

Yes, I second those last few sentences, Saul. (and other things above)
I still miss her like hell.
But I look at her things (some here in my place) and I'm so goddamn glad I was her friend, glad she was here.
And glad I'm still here. I believe that I intend to stay and give it all a much better try.... this "living" shit.
              Thanks for asking, Jman.
